Hi. My name is Sharon McCann. I am 34 and live in Glasgow, Scotland.

My husband is husband Peter, 35, and our children, Michael, 6 and Siobhan 3. We also have two dogs, Kim & Sam.

During my first pregnancy, I developed signs of pre-eclampsia at 32 weeks, at 34 ½ weeks had an abruption, Michael delivered (4lb 6oz) by SVD. Then 6 hours after delivery started fitting (eclampsia) then developed HELLP and was ventilated for 4 weeks. 3 yrs later had a daughter pre-eclampsia free.

I spend my time walking dogs, Parent Teachers Associations, learning Sign Language and Higher Human Biology, and running the APEC Support Group here in Glasgow. I am hoping to go to university next year to study to become a midwife.
