You now have the opportunity to sponsor The Pre-eclampsia Site. The site is run and managed from home on a voluntary basis and is strictly non-profit making. Financial assistance is required to further develop the site and bring in more visitors, thus raising awareness of this condition even further. We have registered the domain "pre-eclampsia.co.uk", but registering further related domain names (whe know what words/domains people search for) would significantly increase the level of traffic to the site. Also, the site is currently hosted on a personal free piece of web-space. It would benefit greatly from being hosted properly. All this requires money, which is simply not available, so we are hoping to gain sponsorship (and/or donations) to enable us to achieve these goals. We don't require a huge amount of cash and any surplus money would be donated to the charity APEC (Action on pre-eclampsia) This site is a lifeline to many women, especially those on The Support Group which currently consists of around 70 members and is growing steadily. The members include mothers, fathers and health professionals all of whom have first hand experience of pre-eclampsia and related conditions. They are able to (and do) offer a great deal of support to each other, many of them felt they were alone before they discovered the group. SO WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Exposure In the two years that the site has been on-line, it has grown to become a very popular place, with over 26,000 visits. It has about 75-100 unique visitors every day (increasing steadily), most of whom are there for a reason and not just passing through. We have many people linking to us, including the BBC and The Times newspaper. Sponsors can choose a number of options, listed below.
Sponsors will have a banner advertisement (400x60), either your own or designed by us, displayed on their "adopted" page, and on any leaflets printed to promote the site locally. (I run a monthly information stand at our hospital to raise awareness of pre-eclampsia to pregnant women).
Our sponsorship tariff is set as follows:
Home Page (sole rights) - £160 ($240US) p.a.
Home Page (shared rights) - £80 ($120US) p.a.
Other Page (sole rights) - £40 ($60US) p.a.
Members of The Support Group wishing to sponsor an 'other' page - £20 ($30US) p.a.
Acknowledgement at the foot of The Support Group emails* - £240 ($360US) p.a.
* Currently, around 35 emails are sent, per day to all members of the group. That's nearly 3500 emails per day!
