Great Tey Residents' Association was formed in 1997, after a series of errors made by our local authority which threatened unacceptable changes to the historic centre of our village.

Membership has grown from the original 31 founders to the present 226* - representing 45% of households in Great Tey.

Membership is free and open to every resident of the Parish of Great Tey.

Those over 16 years of age are classed as Full Voting Members. Those under 16 years will have their own organised consulation forum, supported by the elected Committee.

Meetings are held approximately every two months, depending on the urgency of matters in hand.

Newsletters are irregular but have so far averaged 10 a year, three of which are "Members Only" issues. These are delivered to most households in Great Tey, though we do sometimes have difficulty with deliveries to some outlying farms and hamlets.

Funding is by donation / sponsorship (e.g. for newsletters)

NOTE: to date, 231 members have been registered. Five have either moved from the village or have passed away.
